A Phillipsburg, New Jersey woman won a $197,139 online jackpot on the Tropicana online casinoin June.
The almost $200,000 prize marked the largest slot jackpot won at an online casino in New Jersey this year.
The Tropicana blog reported last week that Kim Seib won the massive jackpot playing the Tropicana online casino’s Wonderland slot.
Killing time pays off at Tropicana online casino
Seib said she was playing online at Tropicana, killing time while getting ready for work on the morning of June 25, when she noticed the size of the Wonderland jackpot and decided to take a shot at it.
“I was about to log out, but I ultimately decided to play Wonderland after noticing how high the jackpot amount was up to,” Seib told the Tropicana blog. “I thought to myself, ‘What the heck, I’ll give it one last shot!’ During my 15 minutes or so of playing Wonderland I got the Rose Garden Bonus and only completed painting about 5 roses before the Queen popped up.
“Then I got it again. I was clicking my laptop buttons and completed 5, 6 and 7. All of a sudden, they were all completed. Jackpot! I sat there in total shock, thinking, this can’t be. No way!”
Seib said she was in total shock as she ran up the stairs in her home to tell her husband.
“I started having a panic attack,” she said. “I grabbed my laptop and ran upstairs to my husband, repeating, ‘Oh my god!’ He was half asleep. He thought something was wrong. I couldn’t get the words out. I finally put my laptop on the bed and just told him to look. He was in shock. He watched as dollars were added to my balance in $5,000 increments. I couldn’t contain my excitement. I jumped up and started doing my little happy dance.”

The fifth six-figure NJ online slot jackpot in 2017
According to the New Jersey Division at Gaming Enforcement, four other six-figure slot jackpots have been hit online this year. The largest prior to Seib’s June 25 win was for $137,499. It was hit on May 11, 2017 on the Angel’s Touch online slot at the Betfair online casino.

Veronica Castillo said she won $8 million jackpot on a slot machine game. However, a staff member came over and told her the machine was malfunctioning. They gave her $80 instead.
In an interview, Veronica said “I was very excited, happy. Then I couldn’t believe it. They shut off the machine, took it away, printed out a ticket and gave me $80.”
